Fickle
Sources & posture

Methodology

Fickle is a steady instrument for a fickle subject. It does not editorialise about regulatory instability - it maps it, with sourced evidence for every link.

The corpus

Fickle follows the FIC publication corpus through discovery, content-addressed storage, OCR Markdown, deterministic relationship rules, and AI-assisted relationship extraction with verbatim quote checks. SQLite is the system of record; every PDF is stored by SHA-256.

Disclaimer

Fickle outputs are research support and not legal advice. Always verify against the cited source before relying on extracted material for compliance decisions. Results may be wrong or incomplete and do not replace professional review of the FIC Act, regulations, directives, public compliance communications, guidance notes, or supervisory expectations.

MCP server

Compatible AI clients can connect to the read-only Fickle MCP server at https://mcp.fickle.co.za/mcp. It exposes search, publication metadata, OCR Markdown, relationship neighbourhoods, and the graph payload. It does not expose write actions or the RMCP wizard.

Status
Read-only HTTPS MCP endpoint advertised for public clients.
Protocol
Streamable HTTP MCP, stateless JSON responses.
Rate limit
Public unauthenticated clients are limited to 60 requests per minute per client address observed by the MCP service after proxy sanitisation. A 429 response includes a Retry-After header.
Contact
Operational questions can be sent to ops@fickle.co.za.
