31 March 2026: Following public consultation, the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has published by gazette Directive 11 on the submission of the 2026 risk and compliance returns (2026 RCRs) by specified accountable institutions as designated items in Schedule 1 of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001 (Act 38 of 2001) (FIC Act). PUBLICATION OF DIRECTIVE 11 OF 2026 (DIRECTIVE 11) ON THE SUBMISSION OF 2026 RISK AND COMPLIANCE RETURNS TO THE FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE BY SPECIFIED ACCOUNTABLE INSTITUTIONS
31 March 2026: Following public consultation, the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has published by gazette Directive 11 on the submission of the 2026 risk and compliance returns (2026 RCRs) by specified accountable institutions as designated items in Schedule 1 of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 2001 (Act 38 of 2001) (FIC Act).
Directive 11 has been issued on 31 March 2026 and will come into effect on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, with the 2026 RCR submission date commencing on Monday, 4 May 2026.
Before publication, Directive 11 was made available for consultation, and comments were invited by specified accountable institutions from 11 March to 25 March 2026.
All comments received have been considered and incorporated in Directive 11 where appropriate. Refer to the accompanying Consultation Feedback Note.
