263. (1) The Director-General may arrange for the Register to be corrected to rectify errors.
(2) If the Register is corrected, the Director-General must annotate relevant records in the Register to explain the nature of the rectification and specify the date and time the rectification was made and the reason for the rectification. 25
## Delegations by Director-General
264. (1) The Director-General may, in writing, delegate any power or duty of the Director-General in relation to the Register, except the power of delegation, to a staff member of the National Treasury or any other suitable person, and the Director-General 30 may, at any time, amend or revoke a delegation.
(2) A delegation may be to a specified person or to the person holding a specified position.
(3) A delegation is subject to the limitations and conditions specified in the delegation.
(4) A delegation does not divest the Director-General of responsibility in respect of 35 the delegated power or duty.
(5) Anything done by a delegate in accordance with the delegation is taken to be done by the Director-General.
